Went to Rooster Co and was disappointed for a second time. First time was about a year ago, thought would try it again in Newington and again disappointed.
I can't say enough about this place the service is impeccable !Megan the manager came over to make sure everything was up to their standards and the rooster shortbread cookies are over the top!
The Rooster Company has the best food and beer selection around! The spinach salad, tomato bisque and bacon wrapped scallop on New Year's Eve was amazing!
Truffle Mac & Cheese was over loaded with Truffle Oil - not too tasty. I asked the bartender "what other item comes with the 1/2 Chicken" and he replied a roll - I was so shocked. I asked why and the bartender replied "for $9.95 that's what you get" I asked him "what do you get with a whole chicken" he replied "the same". So I order the Mac & Cheese with the 1/2 chicken. I hear this company mistreated local Girl Scouts. Ask them why.
We had the whole chicken special (Wednesday). The food was incredibly good and the service excellent. My husband liked the choices they had for draft beers and I liked the wine selection. Definitely will return. Best chicken anywhere
