I love the atmosphere of the roost. We went on the recommendation of a friend when we described what we were looking for, and this was spot on. It's a little bit pricier, but you get what you pay for in atmosphere and service and food. I took my daughter there and Dana was so sweet to her, it left a lasting impression on her. I go back occasionally when I want to treat myself to something better than average. I always get the filet, and it's perfect every time. Thank you, Dana, for the culture you bring to Dayton.
Best Italian food I've ever had. I was a wee bit under dressed, having spent the day at the spa, but was welcomed warmly.

Our first time here for our 1 year anniversary and the food and service were both outstanding. I believe our server was Nicole and she made sure our anniversary dinner was very special.
This is our third journey having a weekend dinner at The Roost and each time has been an amazing experience! The food is so very full of flavor, color and texture... Each bite is an amazing awareness in itself. I ordered the beef tips with ginger and Asian slaw tonight and it simply was out of this world. Chef Dana Downs has greeted us on each visit and always checks back to see how the meal is being enjoyed!! Fast becoming one of our Dayton, Oh favorites. Thank you!
