Not detracting from the hard work of the providers, If I could score zero stars I would. UCLA ER and hospital are an absolutely awful experience. UCLA has grown into a giant health corporation only interested in expanding their network from San Diego to Santa Barbara and beyond. Instead of fixing their inadequate Westwood emergency department and insufficient hospital capacity, they only seem to be interested in expanding their high revenue specialist services. Disappointing experience at UCLA ER My wife and I spent over 10 hours in the ER, and the experience was deeply frustrating. She was in significant pain due to gallstones, but we were left on a stretcher in a hallway the entire time — with very little communication or care. We were seen by three different doctors, each only once. The last doctor didn’t return for over four hours, and we’re still waiting on CT scan results.
