I have been going to Dr. Howard for several years related primarily to issues with my spine. He’s good. Much better than good, frankly. He listens well, addresses concerns and exudes competence in most situations. And those where he is a bit uncertain? He will refer out to someone he feels is better able to address the issue - he makes it clear that he does not know everything. I have been a patient of Dr. Howard for many years and have only positive things to say about his professionalism and his office employees. They work around my schedule and greet me with a friendly smile! Dr. Howard always takes time to listen and I feel as if he hears me! Very relaxed and hardworking office staff. I know them on a first name basis. I would recommend Dr. Howard to my family and friends.
Dr. Howard is very nice so it is unfortunate his staff is unprofessional . As mentioned by many others, his front desk is MEAN . The nurse / assistant told me the wrong directions on the phone, hung up and then argued with me that she didn’t. When I arrived late she belittled me and gave me step by step directions on how to sit in the chair so “I wouldn’t get lost again”. I’m still having nightmares caused by the treatment of Dr. Howard and his associates. I was diagnosed with a rare and painful neurological disorder. His PA used dirty needles, talked about my case loudly with Dr. H in the office, and used drugs that were not easily available and didn’t care to try getting them. (I had another doctor who was able to find them for me. :)). I did find out later she was overdosing me also! Dr. H ignorantly placed another significant diagnosis on me WITHOUT proper information. Dr. Howard is one of the best, most caring, and most professional doctors I have ever been to! He took his time, thoroughly examined me, and listened to all that I had to say, as well as ask me additional questions. I did not feel rushed at all. I saw a neurologist up in Tampa several times these past few months and not once was the experience like the one that I had with Dr. Howard. I highly recommend him as a neurologist for anyone!
Dr. Ronald Howard did not speak with me as a patient for longer than 3 minutes; His only appearance was to walk-in and making his diagnosis after his PA asked me questions earlier. The fact of the matter is that this "Doctor" doesn't spend time with patients and has a TV series "greedy" Dr. vibe. Very poor professionalism, and overall lack of "effort" to help a patient at his office. *The receptionist, who is a fan club member of Dr. Howard's, was great at scheduling appointments and will gleefully tell you that he's the bes... read more
Would not bother. There’s only one star there because I couldn’t get rid of the last star. There should be no stars. Hope This helps someone
If you prefer a Dr. office that cares and is friendly and welcoming you should go almost anywhere else. Staff is not only not welcoming, they are surly, don't seem to care at all and the wait time is ridiculous. Saw other reviews about the wait time and staff attitude and it is all true. Waited 45 minutes in a too warm stuffy, tight waiting area and both of us (wife and I) got headaches because of that. Dr. is like a robot, not warm or friendly and a man of few words. I have seen doctor Howard about four times. He is very thorough and kind he spent about almost an hour at the first time I went to see him. Now he is following up with me and I am very satisfied
