Unfortunately, there are some professionals in this group that have made unethical decisions to treat people that they have no business treating based on previous relationships. While I cannot vouch for all the therapists in this group, my personal experience with family counseling is that of a poor match between therapist and patient where the therapist never spoke up and said, "I shouldn't be treating this individual based on previous relations." A conflict of interest was never addressed and that is never a good thing.
