I went to Romano's because of their reputation of being a good company to work with. I had just totaled my car and Steve at Romano VW was quick to sell me the Golf I was there to look at. Due to the previous car being totaled I asked for Gap insurance Steve told me it was not available on this car due to the worth. I believed him. Recently purchased a vehicle from this location. Overall experience was okay and left me wishing I shopped around at other dealships. Two red flags when dealing with the salesman, Duane Clark. First was when negotiating on base price of the vehicle. I made an offer of $1000 less, then 655 less. Both offers were refused but was told if I purchased the $1500 Ziebart coating package he would negotiate the base price. Second red flag was when negotiating i was told the rebate was the discount. I purchased my car march 15th 2023 from the local Mercedes dealer of Syracuse and I was sold a 2019 c43 “Mercedes benze certified” with a dent in the front and was promised it would be taken care of before day of pick up and it wasn’t but I was 18 senior of highchool buying his first Amg I didn’t let it stop anything which was the biggest regret I have because my headlight starts acting up on the same side the dent is and wouldn’t you know it there’s a small tiny crack right where the dent is and I didn’t know till that day ... read more
