superb Roma Cafe has fantastic Italian food!! Be sure to try the Chicken Cacciatora - wine, peppers, tomatoes - YUM! Not overly pricey, great service, nice place! Highly recommend!
Outside of going to Italy, its the best!!!!! If you can't go to Italy, go to Roma Cafe. The staff is great and the food is wonderful. Did I mention how cheap? You will not believe your eyes. Valet service too.
Detroits oldest restaurant still shines Roma Cafe is a must-try Italian Restaurant. It's the oldest continuously operated restaurant in Detroit. The food is fantastic. The tuxedo-clad waiters take your orders on PDA's, and it's surprisingly affordable. Do try!
Fine Italian Restaurant Fine Italian cuisine served in a comfortable atmosphere. They have a great wine selection as well as a full bar service. You must order the Caesar salad, which they prepare at your table.
Fabulous Italian Restaurant! Roma's Cafe is a Fabulous Italian Restaurant! From the Antipasta salads to the Italian Sausage the food is delicious. The service and wait staff were pleasant. We have been going here for years and they are always good. Highly recommend.
Yummy! This place was awesome! We felt right at home, and didn't want to leave. My boys were even comfortable here. We ended up having two of the Veal Gourmet, which gave us more than enough food for four and it only cost $66 !
I knew about this place my whole life and always wanted to go, but as a kid my parents said it was too expensive (evidently we were actually really poor and I didn't know it). As an adult going downtown I am usually with others that want to go to Bert's, Thomas Magee's or Vivio's. When I'm asked to name my favorite restaurent my immediate response is "The Roma Cafe in Detroit MI". And I admit to being in a rut because I always order Veal Piccata and a Roma Salad with anchovies. That main dish, accompanied by a glass (or two) of fine Chianti and crisp warm bread dipped in virgin olive oil makes my day.
I have been going to the Roma for 52 years. There is nowhere that serves the veal like the Roma. We live out of town now but return and the Roma is a must. The back room was always for the "family", cigars and all. The stories are all true. Love the ambiance. Jack from Cincinnati.
