As a busy mom of 5, I decided to revisit roller skating again because it was something I loved and also a great way to exercise. I signed up for the boot camp for 4 weeks believing this would be a great refresher. After taking their online quiz it pointed me in the direction of the intermediate class at Roller Fit. This is about to become my new favorite way to get fit. Saturday was my first time going to the beginners class. Gloria is an awesome instructor. She lets you go at your own pace. I honestly didn't feel like it was my first time. I felt like I was among family. Love it there, can't wait to go back.
I recently attended a beginner's class at this establishment and I must state that it is absolutely NOT for those who haven't roller skated in a long time! There were three attendees in the class: two rather-young ladies and then me, a nearly 60-year-old, most certainly the oldest person in the building. After quickly detecting "nervousness" in the atmosphere, the skating instructor (who never introduced herself nor welcomed us) proceeded to instruct us to "walk" in the skates.
