This may be the most superb Japanese restaurant in the metro Chicago area, and it holds its own IMHO among the best Japanese eateries in the world. This is the second time we dined at roka akor at the Old Orchard location, and once again we had a sublime dining experience! Good food, best sushi,friendly wait staffs and really nice place.
Arrived early with my girl, was greeted warmly by the opening staff and the environment was spectacular. Awesome decor and i cant imagin how it looks at night. The food was excellent, the crispy squid and the beef kimchi dumplings was excellent. We both really enjoyed the beef noodle bowls. The Demon Slayer and Snowfall sake was enjoyed by my girl, while the Kawaba Sunrise Ale was delicious. All drinks were paired correctly with our food. Kampai and Domo Arigato!
Went there for the first time and really liked the food and the amibiance. We tried the rib-eye steak which was amazing. The sushi was the best i've had in town. This spot is a must try!
The tempura was on point but with so many good sushi places, this is too pricey for the same.
