Amazing food and services
Not as good as I remembered a few years ago. I believe the yellow lentils were under done this time. The red on the right was too spicy… I also paid extra for gluten free injera on Uber Eats and it was sour and nasty… I ordered 7 veggie items and only got 5. They were also kind of rude on the phone, unfortunately I won’t order from here again when visiting DC.
We have had Ethiopian food, weekly, for about 14 years. This is my first negative experience. Everything was mushed together, which was annoying but not a deal breaker. We spent over $120 and couldn't eat 80% of it. They sprinkled some seasoning over all the nanny. It was spicy (which i like normally) but not mixed well so you could see the little bed of spices they neglected to mix in. Everything was a mess. We spent $114 and threw most of it out.
I’ve tried beyaynetu at many Ethiopian restaurants, but Rohobot truly stands out. Every item on the platter was full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully prepared. The variety of dishes made every bite exciting. You can really tell that the food is made with care and love. I especially recommend trying the Veggie Combo it was absolutely delicious and packed with authentic flavors.
