Recently 11/18/24 underwent a quadruple bypass from the minute I met Dr shahani, in the hospital I felt at ease he was calming and assuring and I knew he was the right surgeon him and his staff took excellent care of me and I will be forever grateful and would highly recommend them was the best in a bad situation

My dad went to the hospital one day with “heartburn symptoms” that turned out to be a heart attack. Testing showed his heart had major blockages and needed a quadruple bi-pass surgery). Dr, Shahani performed a quadruple by pass and did it so well he let me go home a day early. He is one of the most gracious Doctors I have ever experienced. He checked in on me regularly during my entire stay in the hospital. My wife and I cannot say enough about him. He was simply the BEST.
Dr. Shahani performed a difficult bypass surgery on me on 11.11.21 and I am so blessed to have found him! After having a very low heart rate and a bunch of tests with no results I decided to go to the emergency at SIUH-Northwell Health with a heart rate of 39. The tests performed showed I had 6 blockages at 96% blocked. Dr. Shahani performed triple bypass surgery on my father on October 16th, and we cannot say enough about our experience with him and the staff at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Dr. Shahani is clearly a skilled surgeon, but his caring and compassion is what truly sets him apart. He went out of his way time and again to speak to us, to ensure we were comfortable and that my father was doing well.
