I was impressed with the great mark downs they had the day I went in. Biotin for $5 was a favorite! Next time I want to try the kombucha, the sales people were nice too
Came in yesterday asking for a meal replacement shake that I could do since I’m on a keto diet. I was informed by one of the employees that the Akins Opti-Whey Protein is one I could do. I specifically asked for something I could mix with water since I can’t have milk on the keto diet and I’m trying to lose a lot of excess weight and that sometimes my work schedule doesn’t allow me to stop and sit for a lunch so I had to have something to mix with water. Probably the 8th time I've been here since January and found outdated/expired products in both dry grocery and freezer-cooler. Have brought to management's attention each time I come in. Here today on July 25 and a package of Lightlife Chick'n Strips in case dated Jul 16 expiration. Worst part is that I asked the manager on duty last time I was here on July 12 if she had any later exp dates on this product than Jul 16. She checked, said no and never followed up to ensure these were purged by expiration date. Hate to know how... read more
I do not believe my husband and I will be returning here. Our cashier Pauline was rude and didn't acknowledge our presence other than her aggressive and haphazardly way of bagging our expensive groceries. "Okay bye bye" were her parting words to us. I can receive the same crappy customer service at Walmart.
Akin's has awesome food at good prices. The staff are AWESOME! The aisles are wide enough for me to get around with my walker. I highly recommend Akin's!
