We did not enroll due to too many red flags. After a brief phone interview and taking my insurance info, they offered my teen a 4-6 week long PHP program for a different disorder we do not have a diagnosis for. They did switch when I pointed this out. But they never asked for a detailed treatment history or medical records. They would not tell me who works there or who would treat my child so I could look into their background and credentials and reviews, and were quite curt and rude about it on the phone. To preface my review, I should state that I have a master's degree in counseling and I used to work as a therapist in St Paul. I have spent several months thinking over this review prior to writing it, to ensure my thoughts were well collected about my experience. Don't expect respect from the intake process. Their assumption is that you're at their mercy. It's a business! And the demand is greater than the supply! Also remember to do your research and check out the "success rate" of such programs, because I'm guessing your insurance does not pay 100% of the cost.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. Absolutely awful experience. Psychiatrist Dr. Guth should not be allowed to practice medicine after being fired from Allina. He is terrible, does not care about his patients at all. Refused to prescribe any new antidepressant when I had been on Lexapro for two years with no improvement in depressive symptoms.
