I came to Brown Deer adult residential having given up, feeling like I was a lot cause, and no hope that I had a chance or that they could help. They allowed me to not only come get treatment, but they gave me the tools I needed to change my life. I will be the first to admit their jobs are anything but easy, but they do a phenomenal job. I have only ever been in the adult residential side, so I cannot speak on the other units, but the adult residential program absolutely changed my life. Terrible experience. My child was discharged without medication. The person that discharged him had no idea what the care plan was. My son said the staff are mean to the children. He also expressed that the staff acted as if they hated being there. He begged my to never send him there.
Horrible place. Staff did not care about me at all, got no therapy here. Plus food sucked
