Though the process of getting my new phone and plan were pretty quick, I have come to find out that the sales rep (Talha) was not totally honest with me throughout the process. I was told by him that I was required to pay for premium device protection for 5 months, and that it was a mandatory add-on. I called Rogers today, and to my surprise, the customer service agent had never heard of this before. They informed me that the protection is completely optional. They removed the device protection, saving me $21.99 a month.
