Great place to camp, but when it is cold out you want your woodstove to work properly in the cabin. Flue rusted, and was told probably open. It was not all the way. Smoke alarm kept going off because of this. Needless to say cold nights.
loved it did 1 night of summer camp with the troop (only had 1 day off) last time was in 1976
I was blown away by the level of professionalism, organization, and fun the Rodney Camp Staff have. This is a naturally beautiful area that lends itself to an amazing camp experience. That said, it really is the staff and the amount of dedication they have to teaching scouts that perfects this location! I’m already looking forward to next summer.

As a campmaster I get to see many different troops from all over and they all love to come to camp Rodney..
all the fun activities you could want for your group- shooting, archery, rock wall, great hiking, beach, pool, canoeing, sailing, boy scout summer camps, cub scout family weekends. staff here is so personable, hard-working, and accomodating. location is beautiful with lots to explore! an overall safe, fun, relaxed environment. a serene setting, out of the way from the hustle&bustle of everyday life... but not too isolated. delmarva troops, don't overlook this camp just because it's "local"... this is just as great of an expe... read more
