This was by far the most uncomfortable night I’ve ever spent away from home. The room had a strong bad odor that clearly indicated previous smoking. The floor appeared to be mopped, but it was extremely sticky—likely from excessive soap residue. The bathroom door would not open fully, which was inconvenient and awkward. The hotel is very old and dirty. Location about 8 freeways. We spent one night. Terrible experiment.
I booked this place last minute because all other hotels were booked up. I honestly considered packing my bags to sleep in my car after waking up in the middle of the night because my face was burning from the bleach they use on their sheets. I should have known this was going to be the case when I walked in and the room smelled moldy, which caused me to develop a cough over night.
