RecommendedWe recently had our rabbit Maximus pass away. We called the office and they walked us through the process of getting him cremated. Never once mentioned anything about needing payment, they were so sweet and cared more about making us feel better. All of the staff were so caring, they let us stay as long as we needed to say our last goodbyes. I called this morning to inform the clinic that my dog had passed and inquired about cremation services. The person that answered the phone didn't even say she was sorry about the loss of my pet !!!! She just rudely told me to call when I arrived and that they would take payment when I arrived with my deceased pet. I have NEVER seen such rude, uncaring people working at a Veterinary Clinic. There is no compassion or love for animals shown at this facility. Take your pets somewhere else !!!!!!
Very friendly staff and Dr. Pirrung is very straight forward and gives you encouragement and tries to find alternative ways to help and treat your pet before surgery is discussed. He has been treating my cat for over a year and a half for pancreatitis, and he has to go for shots once a month to maintain his appetite and to help with his throwing up. He gets a Depo shot a vitamin B12 shot every month. He’ll be going hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday for this months shots. Barney (the office cat) keeps a very close watch over thin... read more

I've only been to the SMVH one time but I was able to get an appointment quickly & also I wasn't kept waiting for an hour which is what I've experienced with other clinics. Dr. Pirrung listens to your concerns & is to the point with what your pet needs. I asked about the costs & he was able to let me know a really good estimate right away....I didn't have to wait to get the information from the front desk. Super friendly staff and the doctor is also super nice and to the point. My new family vet. Exam price is a little high but i guess that’s about normal for this area.
