I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again. Almost immediately the toilet plugged up (it was not me), and I discovered there was no soap, shampoo or any toiletries whatsoever. I nearly had to use a battering ram to open my room door. I was warned that it was finicky due to the land itself slowly shifting, but what I had to do to get in was ridiculous. The place had a funny smell to it as well. An absolute dump. Never again.
Check in was easy and the staff member at the office gave me some great ideas for local attractions to check out during my stay. He was very friendly and helpful. I ended up eating dinner nearby at Thai Pop, which was delicious, and visiting Art Heads Emporium. The room itself was a bit outdated (carpet, light fixtures, etc) but I appreciated the bed was comfortable, water was warm, the mini fridge worked, and the room was clean overall. For a budget motel, this was a good experience.
If you need an inexpensive stay near Mayo Clinic, this is a good bet. A friend from home stays here regularly.
I Was worried about checking into a small motel because you never know what you will get. I found a very clean room,and friendly front desk. I was more than surprised.
The rooms are beautiful and clean. Everything worked. I really enjoyed my stay and even had a hot bath to relax after a long day of traveling.
