Was given totally wrong information today, was told I had a main sewer line backup flooding my basement laundry tub and that a plumber could't fix it, I needed to call roto rooter. Well roto rooter said it was not sewage and fixed the blockage in the pipe descending from the kitchen sink in about 15 minutes. Their prices are fixed, so it cost way more than a plumber.
They are crooks. They replaced my bathroom sink hot water line with the wrong size. It was like 20". The bastard Jeremy turned my water pressure up from about 37 to 50 psi and didn't have it listed on the ticket. 3 weeks roll by and low and behold I discovered 2 leaks (3 weeks old) in the basement laundry room . He came back out and I made sure I didn't have to pay anything since my old plumber told me to never turn the water pressure up to prevent seams from leaking.
