Good all around hardware store for the haight area I've lived on Haight street for more than two years and whenever I need anything from a hardware store, I will almost always go to Roberts Hardware. It's kind of a small store and doesn't have everything, but for basic needs, it's great. Relatively inexpensive and centrally located, Roberts Hardware is a convenient spot.
The Cheers of Hardware Stores This neighborhood hardware store has everything you could possibly need in a hardware store...within walking distance of your home! No need to drive to Home Depot when you can visit this Haight Street staple. They have a great paint selection - Benjamin Moore paints - and the staff are always willing to help out with a friendly suggestion. If you are lucky, you may even meet Stanous Flouride - a Haight Street legend and part-time employee of Robert's. Be sure to ask him about his "Star Tour" of ... read more
