Went to emergency room LVHN cedar crest October 2023 with small shoulder fracture. Dr. Wessel initially told me that he thought that he could repair the small fracture in the emergency room no problem however he was not able to accomplish that & had me taken to the OR. I ended up with nerve damage called CRPS! which is complex regional pain syndrome. Worst pain and discomfort I have ever encountered, it is also referred to as the suicide disease. Dr. Wessel and his team saved my foot after a severe calcaneal fracture caused by an impaired driver. My life is back to normal and I’m grateful .
Dr. Wessel l performed a hip replacement this past October 2024. Now only a few months later I started experiencing pain in the same hip radiating to my femur. I went to another surgeon who informed me that the procedure was not done correctly in the first place and am now scheduled for a hip revision. I am so very upset that I need to go through this entire procedure again. I can't even walk at this point. Lehigh Valley Muhlenburg is an amazing facility with great staff.
