I would recommend finding a different Orthopedic doctor instead of Dr. Coats. I have brought my foster child there on two occasions and both visits were the exact same. Sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes, waiting for Dr. Coats in the patient room for an additional 30 minutes before he comes in and takes all of 3 minutes to given a rushed through assessment. I took my foster child to him on 1/21/26 for weakness in his hand. This was due to a previous injury that he acquired in a previous foster home. Dr. Coats stated ... read more
NEVER EVER recommend Dr. Coats! He was rude to my 85yo grandmother. She went to see him 3xs; first time he didnt even bother looking at her broken wrist gave her a splint told her to wear it, 2nd time oh he finally looked at her hand but only because she said something, 3rd time she had asked him how many fractures were in her wrist he told her what does it matter and she said the paper said she had more then one and he told her again what does it matter now. Dr Coats is on point. Speaks directly, very clear & precise. Addresses issues in a timely efficient manner - very smooth running office & staff. Proficiency & Professionalism at its best.
I sliced off the side of my finger tip with a utility knife. I went to the ER where i got a referral to DR Coats. I told the nurse and doctor that the gauze had stuck to the scab and to remove the old gauze without numbing my hand would be excruciatingly painful. He didnt even acknowledge my concerns and attempted to remove the gauze several times with me saying clearly that i do not consent to further examination or treatment.
