I'd give Dr McDowell 5 stars but his front staff 1 star. McDowell is very professional and does a good job. Unfortunately his front staff is very apathetic towards his patients. My family has attended this practice before Dr McDowell bought it (Dr Griffith) and even shortly after he sold it (Dr Mosley)...25+ years and yet four out of the last five appointments (all during the pandemic) I arrived and they mysteriously cancelled my appt and I had to come back. I highly recommend Dr. McDowell. He's refreshingly conservative in his approach, looking to do what is best for your long term dental health (and not looking to just do a procedure so he can make some money-which I've experienced with other dentists). He's also very friendly, caring and personable--and you never feel like you're bugging him as you asking him a million questions ( and it's always nice to form a connection with your dentist, instead of feeling like you're part of an assembly line). I thought I had the best dentist, but when I moved I went to Dr. McDowell. He and his team are the very best at all aspects of dentistry. I am highly recommending him to everyone I talk to about my experience.

Great office setting from walking in. Explains everything so I could understand what needed to be done. Staff was friendly and polite. Clean office. Would recommend to any family and friend.

Terrible in the fact that I had to return to him three times for the same tooth that he seemed bot to be able to fix the first two times. I understand that he billed my insurance for the first filling, but then it got infected and he had to root canal the tooth and charged my insurance around $800. I got the bill from what my insurance doesn't cover and took it to the dentist. I was told that he did everything right and I need to just pay the bill. I would highly recommend Dr McDowell to my friends and family. I feel like he takes care of what needs to be done and does not look for work to pad his own pocketbook, like our previous dentist did. He is very conscientious and a perfectionist in his work. Charges are very competitive, or below average. The office staff is great and very accommodating. Dr. McDowell saved my husbands teeth. Our other dentist office was unable to schedule him until a few months out even though they knew he was at risk of losing a tooth! Dr. Mcdowell is kind, thorough, very knowledgeable, and excellent with our small children. The office staff are efficient and the hygienists great too! We are so thankful we found a dentist who cares about our family and our teeth.
