Dr. Allen diagnosed my husband with polycythemia vera however never prescribed any medication. He only drew blood. As a result my husband developed Myelofibrosis a very serious cancer of the blood. Everything I have read about polycythemia vera indicates medication should have been given. When he diagnosed him with Myelofibrosis he told us he had a few months to live.
