Dr. Cooper was my pediatrician oncologist when I had leukemia at 9years old and was an amazing doctor with his team
My son had a tumor on his spine 16 years ago and this doctor did not take my concerns seriously. "Wilms' Tumor never spreads to the spine," he said. My 20 month old was in so much pain for weeks but he dismissed me as an overly dramatic mother. When my son lost the ability to walk, then he (and his team of Kaiser attorneys) were very apologetic. We switched to CHLA and what a difference! He had to have multiple surgeries and uses a leg brace now, but he is 15 years cancer-free.
Dr. Cooper is the best doctor I have ever seen; not one of the best, he is the best! He is so busy but he is so patient to answer & explain your questions. He is sincere and empathetic. I was very desperate before I first saw him. After that, I felt my son would be in good hands with him. He had a great team supporting him too; everyone is so professional and kind.
