I have seen Dr. Scharf for over 20 years. I have never had a doctor in his specialty who was more thorough, conciencious and dedicated to his patients. Several years ago I had an eye issue on the weekend and he called me back to help me on a Saturday!! I hope he comes out of retirement because the "younger" doctors do not have his level of commitment to their patients.
Once his thorough examination discovered I had an eye disease his furious search for any cure or assistance began! He has never stopped striving for my betterment since. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Scharf and each support team member.
RecommendedDr Robert Scharf is our, my son’s and mine, Doctor for about 40 years. He is a doctor with a lot of knowledge in a different part of medicine, not just ophthalmology. Doctor Scharf and all his office treats patients with respect. I would highly recommend him! My son, Igor Firzon, and I want to thank dr R.Scharf for being our doctor.
I recently had a bad stye on my upper eyelid. Dr. Scharf was very professional and answered all my questions both in person and over email. I would recommend him to anyone.
Once I tried to find an new eye doctor when I was having a sharp pain in my eye. I called three different doctors or so and none could fit me in for at least a week. Through a work recommendation I tried Dr Scharf's office. They brought me in the next morning only to find a sliver of some sort of metal in my eye and promptly removed it. Both my husband and I started going to Dr Scharf and have never been disappointed in his professionalism.

Prior patient Doctor did not acurately diagnose my glaucoma which I believe related to his out of date equipment. When I changed eye doctors my condition was quickly diagnosed but by that time my vision had severly impaired and I was put on prescription eyedrops for several years and then had to have glaucoma surgery. If properly diagosed from the outset the prescription eyedrops would have limited my vision loss and I probably would not have required surgery. eye doctor Dr Scharf and staff are very professional. They explain exactly what they are going to do and make it a pleasant experience. They office is clean and the rooms are large and well supplied.
