Dr. Koivunen was absolutely amazing. Very caring and understanding. Very smart, as I ask a lot of questions. He understood all of my concerns and explained them very well. It hard to find a 5 star doc these days. Sometime you get lucky.
Dr. Koivunen is a phenomenal Doctor. He is patient, kind, and is a great listener. I did not feel rushed and he answered all of my questions. He did a great job explaining everything that was going on. He had to give me a shot and it did not hurt at all. I was referred to physical therapy and that was a huge help. If my foot ever bothers me again I just make sure to start up on my PT exercises again and the pain goes away. I highly recommend this Doctor.

Dr K took care of an issue that had bothered me for years. I had some homework I had to do afterwards but it has been a couple of years and I have been pain free this whole time
Dr Koivunen did surgery on my L Achilles Tendon in 2012. Not only did he not listen to me when l told him l was experiencing contunued pain l was told that "You need to allow time for it to heal" I had a bad wound on my heal after keeping my cast on for a total of 6wks and was allowed 12 weeks of physical therapy. Since my wound was pretty bad it took almost a month to heal but he ordered physical therapy to begin anyway so any type of decent therapy couldnt really begin until the bandages were off leaving me 8 sessions left... read more
