Dr Shin saved me from poor care from a previous Dr. I felt he cared and listened. I would like to know what happened to Dr. Shin and MedStar Health's unwillingness to say a word other than he does not work here any more has made it so I will never trust any MedStar facility or Doctor again.

I have been seeing Dr. Shin for YEARS! He is the best neurologist I've had and he is up date on all the recent research. I feel like he listens to me and is very responsive if I have a question or concern.
Dr. Shin has poor medical judgment. Told me that my worsening vision loss was *in my head.* Told me to work with a therapist. .. I'm legally blind. Was referred to him through a drug manufacturer's patient assistance program. Called them back and told them to stop recommending him. As with other reviewers, he never followed up and was dismissive of indisputibly real serious medical problems. Buddy, go back to med school.
Seems intelligent but never followed up with the things HE said he would do. Amazed at his lack of focus or care in my case. Met with him twice and both times he indicated he would take a specific course of action and get back to us. There was ZERO follow up. He was also quite dismissive of our concerns and do not help in trying to determine the cause of our issues. Once he ruled out MS it was over in his mind. We have since moved on to the Mayo Clinic to get better advice and care. I would not see this guy again. No wonder ... read more
