Dr. Matyas is an amazing doctor. He is knowledgeable. He always gave me all the time that I need to express my needs. He listens. He is very caring and has a lot of empathy. He explains things respectfully to me. I feel like we are a team when treating my health.

I have found Dr. Robert Matyas II to be antagonistic to my health care and devoid of empathy to the point of being sadistic. I've learned a lot about my C-PTSD and responses to trauma: fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. Freeze has been my chosen response and I found Dr. Matyas to be polite but sadistic in his intensions, specifically, fat phobic. I have yet to figure out exactly how I would resolve the larger issue of having somebody who is hostile to patients under KP's care. But it has taken me a full 13 months to be called ... read more
Dr. Matyas was probably the best Dr. I've ever met. He was attentive to all my issues. Very clear on all recommendations and made me feel like I've known him for a very long time. Unfortunately he's not accepting new patients so I'm being referred to someone else. Shame. I'm sad about that.
