He was great with my 4-month-old daughter. Very thorough and answered all of my many questions.
I found Dr. Hickey to be rude; he did not listen to me or to the pulmonologist who I have seen for years. She has seen, first hand, my reaction to mold. He told me to stop saying that I react to mold. He told me that the smell makes my chest tight. I don't have tightness around mold, I have a full-blown attack. I will not go back to him.
Takes his time when meeting with us about our baby and now toddler. He is excellent with young and older children as well. Took the time to listen to us worried parents, went the extra mile with diagnosis and listening to our concerns and observations. He is not an alarmist. He has a calm presence and excellent approach with our family. Highly recommend!
Dr. Hickey is very impatient. My son has asthma and allergic reaction. He did not listen to mother's concerns and did not pay attention to the details of allergic reaction. We are going to look for another doctor. Very frustrated.
Arrogant, combative, and defensive. Not that well-informed, either. Steer clear.
Have been seeing Dr Hickey for about 5 years. He is very friendly and kind, and always spends as much time as is needed in the appointment. He listens to me and what has been happening with my allergies. I definitely recommend him.
misdiagnosed allergies...rude, disrespectful and did not listen to mothers concerns about asthma - did not take us seriously. Forced to go to another Doctor...and yes turns out our child has serious asthma.
