I live about an hour and a half away from this location but came here because it was the only place I could find that had any openings in the near future. I was so incredibly frustrated with my appointment with Dr. Hickey. He talked to me for all of a couple minutes and didn’t listen to what I had to say about my seasonal allergies that I already have. I tried to explain that I’ve known I’ve had them for about 4 years now and allergy medication helps but I still suffer every allergy season. I explained that I had started hav... read more

My ENT in NH recommended allergy testing before he could make a plan for my care. I provided Dr Hickey with a complete summary of my symptoms before I was tested. I was shocked to hear that I am not allergic to anything after 3 ENT's and an eye specialist told me my issues were due to allergies. I found Dr Hickey condescending, rude and arrogant. He told me to see a provider for COPD which I don't have. Based on the report of no allergies, my local ENT ordered a CTscan and recommended surgery. Because of a move to Florida I ... read more

This is one time I should have listened to other people’s reviews. He doesn’t listen rushes your answers so that you’re confused and then tells me that I’m not allergic to different medications that were causing hives with me ( the reason that I’m there) also tells me he doubts that I’m allergic to penicillin, something that I’ve been told my entire life because allergy to penicillin is rare. Wish I had believed the reviews and requested a different doctor

Not recommended. The first thing Dr. Hickey said when he sat down with me was '...wow, you've checked off a lot of symptoms' and appeared irritated that I was there and/or that I was struggling with more than one or two allergy symptoms? I provided clear and detailed information (previous allergy testing documents, concise summary of my history), as I was hoping for some clarity on a history of misdiagnosed asthma, and left the office with a vague 'maybe it is asthma, maybe it isn't, use your inhaler better,' renewed knowled... read more

Just left an appointment with Dr. Hickey and I'm feeling so deflated. I took my daughter because she has been struggling with asthma. He rushed through the visit, when he asked me questions and I answered them, he would talk over me before I finished so I felt really rushed through my responses - and felt I wasn't even explaining everything. He recommended we allergy test my daughter even though she has already been tested- so I wanted to ask some questions and he looked visibly frustrated with me, I even apologized and said... read more

I was referred to Dr. Hickey because I had two skin biopsies and a dermal patch test through a dermatologist. The skin biopsies showed hypersensitivity reaction. I have a rash on my back, head congestion/sinuses recurring off and on vertigo and a sore in my nose. I went for assistance in figuring out my skin problem/ any allergies that I have. To me, it is important for a doctor to have good bedside manner, take time to explain things and show a sense of interest in figuring out the problem. Dr Hickey had an overall short/ru... read more

I have see Dr. Hickey a few times. I have suffer from significant seasonal allergies. He spent minimal time with me during both visits and did not examine my nose, throat etc. The last visit was an urgent need as I had been having ongoing symptoms for over two weeks. I had developed a dry cough in addition to allergies. When I voiced my concern he minimized matters...I ended up having to return to my primary care. The allergies, in addition to a virus which he overlooked created ear infection, eye infection and severe cough ... read more

I went in to be tested for food allergies because after I eat (most every meal) I break out in a rash and/or hives and become very itchy. He simply looked at me in the first 30 seconds of meeting me for the 1st time and told me he would not test me for food allergies cause he didn’t believe I had any! He tested me only for things I already know I’m allergic to such as cats, trees, dust, etc. He was EXTREMELY ARROGANT! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this “doctor”
