I was a patient of Dr. Payne for years. I was a total mess and needed help. I saw several psychiatrists in Augusta, Ga. Two very good the others not. We moved to Charleston and I really needed him. I had previously been evaluated by another psychiatrist as required. I really liked him but I was so depressed and just felt hopeless. Stay away from this doctor. Shows no interest in his patients. Offers no help!!
Horrible
Terrible. Should not be working in mental health. I saw him three years ago because my brother just died and my doctor wanted me to get a psych evaluation. I went to their office and the receptionist handed me some papers to fill out about depression. I filled them out honestly and the receptionist came back to me and told me to change some of my answers or else he won’t even see me and send me straight to the hospital.
