Based on my previous interactions and treatment, Dr. Jefferson has been superb. He performed thorough examinations on me once and was highly pleased with his knowledge and the ability to properly diagnose and explain results of findings. He was friendly and patient with me, so, I don't understand why the one star above. Doctors are humans too, how you come across to them could make a difference in how you are received treated as well, just saying. Is knowledgeable on up to date procedures but isn’t interested in the patient’s well being. Dismissive, not empathetic or helpful. If you’re looking for big ego and arrogance, this is your guy.
Based on the above comments, I am cancelling my appointment with Jefferson. I will consult a urologist outside of Kaiser. Charles Shaw, Atlanta, Ga.

Rude, and very unprofessional. Terrible experience with him
Dr. Jefferson has one of the sharpest minds and is quite shrewd when discerning multiple part problems and gives detailed explanations in a refined manner. Before and during procedures, he calmly and methodically walks you through the process to properly set expectations. He must genuinely care about patients because I feel that I am erratic and epically long winded when elucidating, but he listens to the whole conglomeration + tangents to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Dr. J was the urologist for my 86 yr-old dad at N'side Hosp. last week. He was extremely rude and arrogant. I had a list of ?s and felt very rushed, plus he was downright nasty about a few. Like, Would he be a good candidate for a suprapubic catheter His reply:" why!? why would you ask that! that's ridiculous! no!" IJust a suggested ? from a urology friend. Very patronizing. Maybe someday he will be old and sick and trying to understand his situation and will be treated that way by a cocky Dr.
