Nice guy, but a terrible doctor. Dr. McFadden did not give me the proper treatment I needed when I was at Twin Oaks in NJ. This guy would have kept me down for the rest of my life if I had let him. I had to venture out and pay good money for a good psychiatrist.
Dr. Robert McFadden is the most caring, comprehensive, and intelligent psychiatrist I have ever had! He has helped me beyond measure with becoming stable, functional, and mentally well. I reached out to Dr. McFadden for an initial assessment in 2020 after a stay in the hospital and have continued working with him since. I have been seeing Dr. McFadden for about a year now and I am so thankful for the progress that he has helped me achieve. He is very personable, charismatic, and very understanding. I wish I could use more than 5 stars to rate him and his practice. I've never had an issue scheduling a session and his office is very accessible in Center City. I was looking for a new psychiatrist and was shockingly able to get an initial appointment pretty quickly with Dr McFadden. I’m really confused with all the good reviews. He’s charismatic, but that doesn’t mean he’s competent. The meeting we had hasn’t given me any real practical insights or changed my situation at all. He just suggested I look for a different type of psychiatrist. I feel like he just had some time slot available that he didn’t want to waste.
