Where to begin! I had always heard good things about this doctor but experience has proven otherwise. Maybe he only takes are of those he deems worthy or those that bring in the Medicare money. For a good two years my mother in law complained of recurring problems with her urinary tract. Dr. Barkett - best in the business. Not only was he Mansfield Malabar's point-man for sports but he gave back to the Community. Both my parents (Karen/Jack) served the Richland County Schools for a combined 70+ years of service - my mother Karen knew Dr. Rob Barkett as a student from the former Appleseed Middle School and speaks so well of him. Update to my previous review: Robbie is trying to tell anyone who will listen that my dad, who was *suffering* from dementia (we were ALL suffering due to Robbie's flat out disrespect to our wishes), would not sign a records release to the family. This is a pitiful attempt to duck and cover - my mother went with my dad to his appointments during the past two years. Their disingenuous deflection says a lot about the "care" you or your loved ones will receive.
Dr Barkett has been my primary physician for several years. He is great with his patients and spends as much time as needed with you to get all questions answered and also just to get to know you. However, if you don’t like straight forward, this is not the place for you because Dr Barkett does not sugar coat or beat around the bush. He tells you exactly what you need to know.
