For over 15 years, I’ve trusted Dr. Donahue with my eye care and have always been impressed by his expertise and genuine care for his patients. I’m disappointed to share my recent experience with the office staff, which has been quite frustrating. After reading other reviews, it seems I’m not alone in feeling this way. Dr. Donahue, who took over from my childhood doctor, Dr. Pica, is an excellent eye doctor. However, his staff falls short in several areas. I was disheartened when they dismissed my concern about not receiving a follow-up call, calling me a liar in the process. Additionally, my attempts to communicate were met with poor service. Dr. Donohue is great, glad to have him as my eye doctor. However, staff that checks the eyes not so much .I encountered a staff member that called me honey and sweetie; which is rather condescending to an older adult. It makes the person addressed feeble and frail. Staff should be trained to be more professional, you are not taking food orders at a diner, you are working in a professional capacity in a doctor's office. Act accordingly.

Dr. Donahue is an amazing Doctor and person! But the woman who is the receptionist on Thursday evening is the rudest most ignorant woman I have ever dealt with. I would suggest if he doesn't want to lose patients he better fire her. She has no idea what's she's doing and doesn't know how to talk to people.
