I’m so thankful for Dr. Wesner. It’s because of him and his advice and treatment plan that I finally got to feeling like my happy self again after struggling for the last 8 years (I’ve been seeing him for the last 3 years). I have been a patient of Dr. Westner’s for so long that I regard him more as a family friend than my physician. I was first referred to Dr. Westner by a Counselor in Cedar Rapids 20+ years ago. I have been successfully treated for chronic depression ever since. Most of the time our visits were scheduled quarterly for medication checks. My husband has been treated for several months by Dr. Wesner. He has provided all the assistance needed with his professionalism and expert knowledge of the mental illness and medications as well as given both of us all the personal support and empathy. We are both so very grateful for Dr. Wesner's treatment and support.
Couldn't have asked for a better psychiatrist. I've been in the care of Dr. Wesner for years. He worked a very tough case of depression into remission, and I've continued with him for maintenance appointments even though I've since moved. He's demonstrated extreme skill in selecting and explaining treatment options. Dr. Wesner is quite knowledgable and personable. Having previously experienced psychiatrists who rush you in and out, Dr. Wesner really takes time to understand what has happened since the last visit. I highly recommend him.
I have been seeing Dr. Wesner for a few years now and I highly recommend him. He's easy to talk to and works with me on what I think is best for me. If you're a dog person this is a great environment as he always has his two dogs and Bonnie the secretary often has her dog with her as well.
