Dr.Salchak is wonderful. I have been seeing him for years. He is thorough, patient, good listener, and friendly. He detected my dry macular degeneration as it was just beginning, kept a cautious watch on it over the years even though it was slow in progression, sent me to a retinal specialist when it looked like it might be turning to wet instead of dry, and within a few months it did, By then, I already had a specialist in place and got treatment started at the outset. Wish I could give Dr. Salchak 6 stars.
Dr. Salchak is awesome! My husband has been seeing him for years and I understand why. He took his time and answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Glad I found my new fav eye doctor!
If you're looking for a GOOD optometrist, then you should stop reading this review. However, if you're interested in selecting an EXCEPTIONAL optometrist, then I urge you to continue reading. Honestly. I've worn glasses for almost 50 years, and during that time period I've had a range of optometrist--from okay to very good. Dr. Salchak was a wonderful eye doctor. He was patient and caring. I was extremely nearsighted. So much so that my eyes could not be corrected enough to even get my drivers license renewed. He referred me to an incredible doctor for a lens replacement. I now have better vision than I have ever had in my life. I highly recommend this doctor.
