Honestly I don’t know why his reviews are so low, he’s matter of fact but that’s not a bad thing. His bedside manner is great and he’s really nice and helpful, answered all my questions thoroughly. Would recommend :)
Terrible communication, terrible surgeon. My 95 year old mother has suffered under his hands. The screws he put in her hip failed a month later. Not only that, after her hip surgery, he would not communicate with us or the nursing staff at INOVA. DO NOT GO NEAR HIM.
This doctor is AMAZING. My boyfriend was hit by a lady on his motorcycle. He had a lot of trauma to his leg. I’ve seen reviews about this doctor not having bedside manners? We haven’t had any issues at all with conversations, he is straight forward and will answer the questions you have. He took my boyfriend from excruciating pain to just aches. It’s only been two weeks, and my boyfriend is able to bend his knee again. He has a long road ahead but Dr. Hymes is such a blessing to us and our family. We will be forever grateful... read more
I wish I could give zero stars. Do not go to him if you are out of from out of town and have a fracture and go to the emergency room at In nova . My son fractured his wrist and was told that he would be seen in the morning for surgery and so he was admitted. They kept him all day since he was a work in, but since he was admitted he could not leave to go somewhere else for treatment or his insurance would no longer pay. Dr Hymes is an excellent surgeon. He explained very patiently what needed to be done and met with us several times pre and post op. He is efficient and a man of few words. I felt seen and heard in meeting with him. I highly recommend him.
