My apology for not posting this review earlier. I was recently admitted to RMC via ambulance a few days before Christmas 2024. I stayed nine days counting the in and out days. I was pretty sick. I was on the 8th floor. Everyone from my Ambulance medics to initial ER nurse Raleigh to my nurses on the 8th floor Deeann, Kristy, Carolyn, and Amber were just fantastic. This place is a joke. Went in with symptoms of a kidney stone. Got treated for low potassium. They took a urine sample only. No x-ray or catscan. When I questioned them about it they ignored me. Symptoms continued so I went to Riverview in Gadsden and was confirmed it was a kidney stone. Great staff at Riverview. Also my 92 year old grandmother was taken from the nursing home to RMC for chest pains. When we tried to tell them what medication she was on they interrupted us and said we have it on file. This is the worst hospital I have ever experienced, they are horrible to the elderly and it's uncalled for, they kicked a elderly woman out this morning at 4:00 with no oxygen or clothes on she was naked as they were rolling her down the hall , just because they didn't like her son , she had been there for a week and they got caught giving her the wrong medicine so they had to cover their TELL INs and trying to blame everything on the son
I came injured and in so much pain could hardly breathe. But I was treated like a pariah. Told to go somewhere else. And last insult? Given my diagnosis and prognosis in the middle of the lobby in front of sign in desk and doors the whole lobby was able to hear. I was so embarrassed and humiliation. I haven't been to a doctor since. Bad treatment is bad medicine
