I was ask for $50 dollar deposit to hold an appt for work to be done to my car, but 5 days before the appt I was called out of town and not knowing when I would get back to town, I called on a Monday to cancel the Friday appt, which was really bring the car in anytime that day and I ask for my deposit back and they told me no they would not give it back. I didn't sign a contract, and I was not told it was non-refundable. It was to go to the total cost of the work to be done which could not be done due to me out of town.
