My partner and I test drove a Rivian at this Walnut Creek location about a week ago. Favienne and her colleague (unfortunately, I cannot recall his name) were very helpful, personable, and knowledgable about the vehicles. They were not pushy at all, and respected our timeline of when we wanted to purchase. Rivian not only makes a sweet product, but also knows how to set up a showroom. I've been to this and one other location and the staff are friendly and attentive. They're eager to share their excitement about Rivian with you and talk about any upcoming deals you may want to be aware of if you're in the market for an EV.
My wall charger broke, Rivian won't sell me a wall charger compatible with my model year. I have to submit 10 photos to "submit a request" to repair my charger. They can't recommend any third party chargers. What a pain.
Even though I ultimately didn't buy a rivian this place was so cool, and I will always have thoughts about getting one in the future. The staff was really great in helping me and guiding me through making my decision on a car. These cars are so incredible and hope that our second household car will become a rivian!
Space had employees wearing sf space shirts when we couldn't buy them and they said they were for sale. The quad demo drive was underwhelming with severly throttled acceleration. My dual (non performance) could get up to the speed limit when this couldn't. Still no rad tuning or tank turn. Nothing online said we couldn't do that. Weekdays are supposed to be 1hr demos when it was only 20 minutes total. Gear shop had maybe a handful of items. No Walnut Creek space shirts are made.
