Run don't walk away from Rivia Mind(less). I've had a terrible experience in trying to schedule an initial consultation. Long telephone waits, dropped calls, completed forms never received, system failures, .... The last straw was an initial session cancelled 15 minutes before it was to begin because the appointment had been scheduled one week ago with a therapist who wasn't actually available on the appointed time. Seeking mental health was NOT a thought until my Radiation Oncologist asked me how life was going. I just burped out without stopping to think, it's sucks,. He refered me to his social servies person and she knew what I need. I was referred to Rivia Mind. That moment was the light at the end of a dark tunnel that I had not been able to find on my own. No mental health support is NOT a instant magical pill but it is the little ember of lighting a match when you are locked in a windowless dark room.

Cristin is amazing. She is so kind and empathetic. Although medication management is her primary role, she seems to genuinely care about how I am doing. I hope to remain her patient long term.

I have had an amazing experience working with the Rivia Mind team and with practitioner Arriel Powell in particular. In my 15+ years in therapy and psychiatry care, I have never experienced a practitioner as insightful, attentive, professional, and dedicated to my care as Arriel. I am pleased that they also have the option to work with student practitioners at a reduced price.
