Situated in the Riverwalk Landing shopping district is the multi-faceted Riverwalk Restaurant, a varied eating establishment that is very popular with locals. It consists of three parts - the Rivah Cafe, which has a lovely outdoor courtyard and serves light lunch fare; the Riverfront Dining Room, which has lovely views of the river and a pleasing selection of seafood and meat dishes; and the Landing, the establishment's private function room. There is also a creative drinks list available along with vegetarian specials.

Riverwalk Restaurant - Isn't worth $$, go elsewhere to eat. I agree with the previous posting, RIverwalk Restaurant is terrible except for the beautiful view of the York River. We were a large group, and I know that can sometimes be challenging. However, we had made reservations for 10 for 7:45 on a Sunday evening, and at about 7:15 we needed to add 2 more people to the party. This seemed to throw the reservation desk; however, we were told that they would be able to serve us all, but the two new additional people might have... read more
Well, it's not Nicks! If you ever had the distinct pleasure of dining at the original Nick's - you're going to be disappointed. There are no statues, no tapestries, and no cherub paintings. No odd fountain and, sadly, no Mrs. Nick. They did move the mosaic from the entry hallway - but that's about it. It's a perfectly fine restaurant with good food and an amazing view. The style is very modern with sleek benches, modern patterns, and modern lighting. The food was quite food and right on par with what I expected. I'd say the ... read more
Tourist Trap - Don't get caught Ok, this place is absolute garbage. The Chesapeake blue crab meat (that they advertise and say it is local) is from Indonesia. The "fresh" fish is has been frozen both times I have eaten there. Sometimes the salmon and tuna are fresh but only when they can't get the frozen fillets. EVERYTHING in the cafe is frozen except for the Indonesian crab cakes (remember, they say Chesapeake). The dressings are made in house, however. Evidently they have like 7 chefs that work there plus numerous cooks, ... read more
Its not supposed to be the OLD Nick's I could not disagree more with the other reviews about this restaurant. This restaurant does not compare to the Old Nick's...its not supposed to. It has nothing to do with the old Nicks Seafood Pavilion. The food at the NEW Nicks was as good as I have ever eaten. The service was great and the wine list may be the most reasonable I have ever seen. The views are unbelievable. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the prices were a value ($18 to $28.00). They even had a large and v... read more
not as great as it used to be Nick's used to be SO beautiful... as has been mentioned by the others here, they had gorgeous tapestries, paintings, and statues all over the restaurant. I will say the view is still absolutely gorgeous, and the location is nice. There's no overcrowding, and the setting is great for an after dinner walk. The food itself is average to slightly above average, depending on what you order. I don't eat seafood, but that is their specialty. I've heard from family that it's great, though. The non-seafo... read more
Fine Dining didn't fit the bill I was excited to find what I thought would be the replacement to the wonderfull Nicks seafood pavilion that one graced the banks of the York river. The beautiful new Riverwalk Landing iis a beautiful place and home for several higher end shops and tthis restaurant. The restaurant offers two choices, the Rivah Cafe, for a smaller price tag, and the Riverwalk Dining Room, for fine dining which we chose. I was not not at all impressed with the number of menu selections nor the quality of the food... read more
