This place looks good on the outside . but get inside. it is falling apart. If you need repairs done. You will wait long periods and then it is done half way.Every year the rent will go up any where from 20 to 30 dollars. as far as the heat and hot water included in the rent. thats true. But watch out on most winter days ya wake up with no heat and no hot water.
I have lived in worse apartment complexes. At least at Riverview the complex is up to code,and they fix stuff if you have an emergency.
My Husband and I moved to Riverview Garden Apartments over 2 years ago and have loved living here. The maintenance staff is always there when you need them Dave (the head maint. guy) is the best. Dave is always right on top of all Maintenance requests. All these older posts are just that OLD. The complex is very well maintained year round. Very well light at night. You wouldnt know you were living in Troy at all!!
Terrible place to live. It is falling apart... Chunks of paint and plaster just falls off the wall. The ceiling in our bathroom caved in and the neighbors are noisy all day and night. We have tried to talk to the lazy maintenance man Dave who think he is doing everyone a favor by doing his job and the secretary who is never in the office and they said the neighbors can be as loud as they want day and night... This is a terrible place to live. My car was broken into and nothing was done, right in the middle of the parking lot. I moved out a few months ago and still have yet to receive my pet deposit back and they are refusing to give me the \$500 even after me and the dog left. They claim that since my roommate stayed with her boyfriend that they are entitled to my money. Ridiculous and they are very rude on the phone and not understanding at all. I have lived here since August 06 and cant wait until my lease is up. I moved here because I needed a appartment on short notice as I was relocating for work. I pay \$605 a month for a one bedroom, which sounds good, but not once you are here. The bedroom and living room are a decent size for the money, but I have a tiny bathroom and no kitchen, and I mean no kitchen. There is no counter space at all, zero. Ive had a lot of apartments, and have lived in Troy my entire life. As far as Troy apartments go, you either pay an arm and a leg for a fabulous one, or you live in a dilapidated apartment for very cheap. This complex may not be fabulous, but I was never ashamed to invite friends over, plus it is huge for the money. (My last apartment was a fabulous, huge brownstone on the east side, and was very affordable unless you count the fact that I was paying over \$500 a month to NyMo in the winter). This place is great i have been here for many years and love my apt im in a 2br apt it is very spacious my friends and family love my apt and the hardwood floors. Everything is maintanined great neighbors are friendly and very quiet. I feel very safe liveing here and dont see myself leveing anytime soon its good for the money and my nymo is very low . My family and I have lived here for years. We love it! Were in a spacious 2 bdrm apartment. There are court yards that are great for the kids and dogs to play in all year long. The maintenance staff, now headed by dave, keeps everything maintained beautifully. A huge change from the previous guy chris. Everything is fixed quickly and properly. There are no shortcuts taken anymore. The staff and neighbors are friendly. Happy to live here
