Heavenly Sweet Potato Muffins There were 8 family members in our party, all in from out of town. When we arrived, our table was ready right on time. The historic house was a lovely setting. Our of our meals were delicous. The lobster ravioli had a gorgous presentation and tasted equally wonderful. The pricing was very fair for all the delicous food and atmosphere. We will definately come back next year!!!
WORST SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER HAD I travel all over to different seafood resturants and I was down in, NC visiting family and they decided to take me to The Riverside steak and seafood. We walk in there and the place is in bad condition, then we order "Maryland Style Crab Cakes" they tasted nothing like Maryland crabcakes, they had this horrible tasting sauce on them and tons of shells in them.I have no problem for paying for costly seafood, but my god the quality of their seafood was so poor that $25.00 a plate for the taste an... read more
Don't waste your time! I like the atmosphere at this place but was so disappointed in service and the food. She finally took our orders approximately 25 minutes after she gave us our drinks. Crabcakes were a huge disappointment! The size of a fifty cent piece. Paid 28.00 for my husband's dinner of deep fried oysters and shrimp and it did not even include a small dinner salad. Agree, worse seafood My husband and I were very disappointed with the service to begin with. The food was not tasy but rather very much full of shells, just like the other person stated about it! Very overpriced, definitelly save your money.Also very poor service, and I agree with the other review, boxed seafood or a steak from outback would be far much cheaper and a hundred times better.
Riverside Steak & Seafood is a great restaurant We love the Riverside and go every summer while vacationing in the area. I always order the grouper and it's great. My husband has tried a variety of dishes there and he has always been happy with the food. The owner and staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The key lime pie is the best!
Some of the menu items are amazing I have read a lot of reviews that Riverside is "the worst" seafood, steak, clams, etc that some have ever had. Riverside is a wonderful restaurant, located inside a renovated historical home. The atmosphere is perfect (for a first date or anniversary dinner). Actually, I went to Riverside for the first time May 17th 2006 for a first date, and today, May 17th 2009 we are going back, for our 3 year anniversary dinner. Horrible I went to Riverside Steak and Seafood and was very disappointed that we were waiting 15 min to get refills. Then we ordered, crab cakes and they had lots of shells in them and were the worst tasting crab cakes I have ever had. The food was pretty bland. I would only recommend this place to those that do not know much about seafood and want to waste a lot of money on poor quality food. Otherwise, save your time and go anywhere else. I am sure anywhere else would taste better.
Travel from far far away to eat here. The first time I went to Riverside was on a 1st date. It didn't work out w/ the guy. However, I've had a love affair w/ Riverside ever since. My favorite is the carpetbagger w/ garlic mashed potatoes. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. The wait staff goes out of there way to make sure you want for nothing.
