RecommendedAn Alaskan historical experience run by friendly tour guides with young men and women of Alaskan Descent telling their stories with tours of a village ride on a paddle wheel boat, mushing demonstrations by Dave Monsoon husband of the late Susan Butcher and their daughters. Views of the houses on the Chena River. Wonderful lunch.

We were completely blown away with this tour! Every detail was attended to! The main building and restaurant are lovely! We had lunch in the dining room and it was delicious! The stew hit the spot! We sat on the upper deck under the covered area and the weather was beautiful! (Not too cold as the boat cruises slowly.) The entire crew/staff are personable and made us feel welcome! Guides are doing a great job and the scenery is very nice.
This was a gem of our two week Alaska adventure. The boat trip was fabulous. My only suggestion would be to improve on the "hearty meal". Either a couple of choices or a little more meat in the beef stew is suggested.
