Yesterday my husband called EMT and was taken to Riverbend Hospital because his heart was racing almost two hours and he just had heart surgery a little over a week. The ER was so busy disorganized. my husband said he got off the ambulance he was wheeled to the hall . They took his vitals and put him in a wheelchair. To make a long story short he was there almost 7 hours and never got to see a doctor. He just gave up. This place is a disaster and very inhumane and not one person there cares about the well-being of anyone. I had to FLEE and go to another hospital for treatment when they KNEW what the DX was and could treat and let me be on my way....but nope, they had to keep ordering more things and keeping me there. After 8 hours and NO WATER, I asked five staff where I could get some water and they looked at me like I was from Mars. I had to go by ambulance last Friday because symptoms indicated a possible blood clot was causing swelling and severe pain in my right leg. I have had about seven yrs of torn meniscus and arthritis pain in both knees. I have had breathing problems for decades. So, it was shocking awhile ago to find I had a Pulmonary Embolism issue. Both lungs full of blood clots. So I was quite scared about the swelling and severe pain on Friday. I was told to go by ambulance to the hospital. Oh, where do I start? 1st, don’t let anybody touch u w a needle. I have a 6 by 3 in bruise from a nurse trying to put an iv in me. That’s the worst one. I’ve got 4 other bruises from other attempts. I made them stop treating me like a pin cushion. The dr, she should lose her license. For 6 1/2 hrs she REFUSED to see me. I left AMA. Oh, I forgot my iPad charger there, they didn’t even care to put it in a bag w my name. They just separated it and threw it in w all the others. A 30$ charger, gone. Also we left and went to McKenzie and wow, the staff was amazing, our 1 1/2 year old son was in such a better mood, ha! That’s how you know! Every person there was kind and had a sense of urgency. I would have waited 5 hours for those people. I’m switching teams for good. Even changing our pediatrician. All the money you dump in to new floors, hire people that can communicate properly with your patients, damn ! Or pay them more, whatever the issue.... I can’t believe that’s even an issue, attitudes. What a terrible vibe this place has, honestly it makes a world difference when your front desk people are just shitty and moody and complaining about lengths of shifts. Shit attitude does not help our 2 1/2 hour wait.

This hospital has really went downhill. They just don't have the caring feelings for their patients. Husband had to be there for s couple of days. Had to have dialysis and they never weighed him. That's something that should be done before and after.
