I had a appointment with Dr. Rivera and was very nervous ( thats just how I am) but within 60 seconds into our appointment he made me feel very comfortable and was very kind , understanding, and easy to talk to. I am very pleased he is my PCP.

Nothing in the medical profession, or any other for that matter, can be a substitute for experience. Dr. Rivera has the understanding and insight that we all require in the healthcare profession. I have years of experience as the non medical director in a chain of back rehabilitation clinics titled Back in Action (Nike was our joint venture partner). I also launched FreeFlexRx, the first of its kind injury prevention program in the workplace (mid 80's). 

Patient care is NOT a priority here

I would NEVER send anyone to this provider!! He clearly cares more about the $$ insurance contracts bring in for him but doesn’t want to get his hands dirty by having to actually physically see the patient at all. He wants to LOOK like he is ACCEPTING new patients under certain health plans just to find out that he is actually NOT CONTRACTED with the plan that you have but instead has you seen by a PA. Knowledgeable, truthful, explains items clearly and understandable to the patient in terms the patient understands. Personable and sincerely cares. I give him a strong Five!

I was referred to Doc Rivera as a great attentive family practitioner after dealing with these clowns from Arch Health for years. He is awesome and is thorough and responsive. Some of these comments on here are from obvious whiners that would be happy with no one.

Dr. Rivera dismisses my concerns in regards to medications. He seems nice until you actually try to talk to him and realize that he is not really listening to a thing you say. He just looks at the chart to see what the nurse has written down and goes no further.

This was my absolute worst health care experience I have ever had! I had to wait months for an appointment, and when I finally got to my introductory appointment, I was never introduced to my doctor. The nurse took my measurement three times and needed me to explain to her why 5.8 feet is not 5'8". The entire time I was there, they were rushing me along, not asking if I had any questions until I told them that I was not done, and I had questions.

I have come to see Dr. Marcelo for three years because his treatment is very right to my illness; he is very experienced and smart, and would like to listen to patient's situation and update his treatment plan if things got changed; plus his medical knowledge is very wide. I also introduced my wife under his treatment later.
